Youth Leadership & Educational Excellence

Sevai Semmal Kumizhi Saravanan started his journey at the young age of 17 years. While in schooling, he served with distinction as an NSS Leader, leading cohorts of students in social service campaigns. His core unique service points have always centered on Plantation, Public Hygiene, and Alcohol-Free Zones. He spearheaded extensive campaigns cleaning government schools, government hospitals, and public utilities.

Complementing his grassroots activism with rigorous academic excellence, he holds a Bachelor's degree and three Master's degrees. He continuously upgraded his capabilities in organizing community empowerment drives, massive eye donation camps, blood donation camps, and free medical check-up camps across Tamil Nadu.

The Historic Kumizhi Village Revolution

Deeply inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's teaching that "Change starts from oneself and one's own born village," he dedicated two years while pursuing his undergraduate studies exclusively to developing his birthplace, Kumizhi. At that time, Kumizhi lacked even the most fundamental amenities — no roads, no public transport bus connectivity, no clean drinking water, no health center, and widespread unemployment and poverty.

Facing severe obstacles, administrative indifference, and humiliation from local authorities, he made the courageous decision to contest for the presidency of Kumizhi village. Through unyielding public agitations, continuous representations, and legal protests — during which he was even imprisoned for public welfare like King Maker K. Kamarajar — he succeeded in bringing Public Transport Bus connectivity, Tar Roads, Drinking Water supply, and a dedicated Medical Health Care Centre to the village.
